How to Play
Snek Snacks is a fast retro arcade snake with a twist: not every snack is good
for you. Eat pizza to grow and score, dodge the bombs hiding
nearby, and chase down cola to slim back down. The longer you survive, the
faster it gets.
Goal
Steer the snake to eat as much pizza as you can for the highest score. The game ends the moment
you crash into a wall or into your own tail, so the real
challenge is staying nimble as your snake grows and the speed ramps up.
Controls
- ARROW KEYS or W A S D on a keyboard (desktop).
- The on-screen D-PAD on phones and tablets.
- Tap the ⏸ pause button any time; the ⚙ gear opens settings.
You can’t instantly reverse into yourself — turns are buffered so quick taps still register.
The Snacks
-
🍕Pizza — eat it
The only way to score. Each pizza adds +1 to your score and grows
the snake by one segment.
-
💣Bomb — a trap
Worth no points and makes you 5 segments longer all at once —
dangerous when the board is crowded. Bombs like to spawn near the pizza, so grab your
slice carefully.
-
🥤Cola — the power-up
The twist: cola shrinks you by 5 segments (down to a minimum length). It gives no
points, but a shorter snake is far easier to control. It usually appears far from the
pizza, so it’s worth the detour.
Speed & the Board
- Every pizza you eat makes the snake — and the music — a little faster. It adds up quickly.
- When your snake grows past half of the board, the board widens to give you room. There’s no upper limit.
Cards & Colors
- Finish a run with a score of 5 or higher to earn a collectible card from a raffle.
- There are 90 cards across 18 stages. Open 🃏 CARDS from the start or game-over screen to see your collection.
- Complete a stage to unlock new snake colors — customize your head, body, border, and background in ⚙ Settings.
- Got a duplicate? You can re-roll it from the Cards screen.

Quick Tips
- Keep an eye out for cola — staying short buys you time as the speed climbs.
- Bombs hide near the pizza, so plan your approach before you dive in.
- Use the walls’ edges to make tight, predictable turns rather than panicking mid-board.
