Snek Snacks is a free, retro pixel-art arcade snake — with a twist. It takes the classic everyone knows and flips the snacks on their head: the snake you control is hungry, but not everything on the board is good for it.
In most snake games, everything you eat makes you bigger. Here, only 🍕 pizza scores points. The 💣 bomb is a trap that suddenly grows you by five segments, while 🥤 cola is the real power-up — it shrinks you and keeps you nimble. That small inversion turns a familiar game into a constant risk-and-reward puzzle as the speed climbs and the board keeps expanding.
Snek Snacks is built by an independent developer as a love letter to classic arcade games. The web version runs on HTML5 Canvas and TypeScript — no plugins, no install, just open and play. I’m a small operation, and feedback genuinely shapes what I build next.
